Aaqib recipe

Poutine Supreme (aka Heart Attack in a Bowl)

Gravy:
1L of beef stock and add 1 chicken cube, or can use 3 chicken cubes in 1 litre of water
¼ onion
2 cloves of garlic
¼ cup butter
1/2 cup corn starch
½ cup water
1 tsp black pepper or to taste
2 tsp salt or to taste

In a pot bring the stock to a boil. In a sauce pan sautee the onions until caramelized than sautee the garlic until brown. Then slowly whisk in the sautéed onions and garlic in to the stock and add the butter, salt and pepper. In a separate bowl, mix corn starch and water until it turn into a paste. Whisk in the paste into the stock. Reduce until consistency of gravy is reached, up to 45 mins if necessary.

Fries:

Use 5 potatoes. Peel and cut into French fries sized chips. Deep fry them until completely cooked and crispy golden.

Cheese:

Shred half a block of mozzarella or cheddar cheese. MAKE SURE IT IS HALAL.

Serving

First, place a handful of fries in a bowl. Next, sprinkle shredded cheese onto the fries. Followed by pouring hot gravy generously on the cheese covered fries.

 Enjoy the poutine

 Exercise – It is recommended that you run 3-4 miles per bowl of poutine that is consumed.
